APL Logistics has appointed Shigeo Mori from parent company Kintetsu World Express Group (KWE) as its chief financial officer (CFO).
The 30-year veteran previously held various roles within the KW Group, most recently as VP for finance at KWE USA.
APL president, Beat Simon, said: “Mr Mori is a seasoned finance executive who has accumulated extensive international experience in the logistics industry. His appointment reflects APL Logistics’ commitment to strengthening our leadership team to drive our growth plans.”
In June last year, KWE completed its $1.2 billion purchase of APL from its parent company Neptune Orient Lines (NOL). The Japanese freight forwarder said the acquisition decision was based on its management priority to compete on a par with European and US competitors in the global market.
