Transport and logistics provider, Horst Mosolf, has taken the Qualitas award for Supply Chain/Logistics Supplier of the Year at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Supplier Awards.
The award was one of 18 given out by FCA at the Supplier Qualitas Convention, which was held recently in Turin, Italy, and hosted by FCAís COO for EMEA, Alfredo Altavilla, and Scott Garberdering, head of group purchasing. More than 1,000 of FCA's suppliers were involved in the prize.
Mosolf has been working with Fiat for several decades providing transport and logistics across Europe, including warehouse, technical and workshop services. Mosolf also manages the carmaker's central delivery warehouse in Kippenheim, Germany. It took over the facility in 1994 having been managing it for the previous ten years.
The company prepares vehicles for delivery and carries out additional tasks such as accessorisation and the removal of materials used to protect the vehicle while in transit.
Among its other tasks, Mosolf arranges the movement of vehicles from the FCA plant in Tychy, Poland by block train, to the Grimaldi Terminal AET at the port of Antwerp.
The award for these services was presented to Dr Jörg Mosolf, CEO of the Mosolf Group.
