Richard Campbell has taken up a new role as industry lead for automotive at emergency logistics provider time:matters. Campbell moves from his position at Volvo Cars as senior director of global packaging engineering.
At Volvo, Campbell took up the then newly created role as global head of packaging in September 2022. He was responsible for driving strategic packaging design, commercial development and industrialisation, as well as all packaging operations related the inbound transport of all production parts to Volvo’s plants. The carmaker has not announced who is replacing Campbell in the role.
Campbell has a range of logistics and packaging experience. Previous to Volvo Cars he worked at tier supplier TRW and Neovia Logistics, as well as working at packaging providers Chep, IPL Macro and MJ Solpac.
The latest move at time:matters follows the appointment of Bernhard zur Strassen as managing director and CEO in November last year. He replaced Alexander Kohnen, who left the company of his own accord in April 2023.
