Chris Storrs (pictured) has replaced Helen Clarke at Ford of Europe as finished vehicle logistics manager.
Clarke, who was in the role for more than six years after taking over from Bert Bong, has moved to a new role in material planning and logistics for the carmaker. She is now responsible for product definition, program and pre-production management (PPM), and systems and process implementation (S&PI).
Conversely, Storrs moves into his new role in vehicle logistics from product definition, PPM and S&PI. He also previously held roles in material planning and logistics and has been with Ford for more than 21 years.
Ford has been improving its order-to-delivery process over the past seven years with better planning of production capacity, higher visibility of vehicle inventory and improvements in predicting estimated time of arrival (ETA) for dealers and customers.
Storrs continues to work out of Ford’s Dunton Technical Centre in the UK.
