Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has confirmed that Peter Weiss (left), currently vice-president of International Operations, based in Detroit, will be moving to a new role in Europe, replacing Luc Billiet, head of supply chain management in the EMEA region at FCA.

Billiet is thought to be moving to a new role in the aftermarket sector for FCA but this has yet to be confirmed by the company.

Weiss has been vice-president of International Operations for the last four years and prior to that was director of Worldwide Transportation and Customs. He first joined Chrysler in 1995 as senior manager of International Supply. In his new role he will have responsibility for inbound and outbound logistics in the region (excluding service parts), as well as plant logistics.

Billiet has held that role since 2013, when he moved there from the CNH agricultural machinery division, where he was head of Shared Training Services, to replace Diego Pistone.

No replacement for Weiss in the International Operations role has been announced yet.

In other executive moves at FCA this week, the company has appointed Alistair Gardner as vice-president, Dealer Network Development, in addition to his current role as president and CEO of the Chrysler Brand.

Gardner replaces Peter Grady, who is retiring from the company.  Gardner joined Chrysler in 1986 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility in sales, service and business operations.  He was named president and CEO of the Chrysler brand in November 2013.
