Porsche is to establish its first parts distribution centre (PDC) in Canada to supply 19 Porsche service centres across the country. The 16,000 sq.m facility will be based in Mississauga, adjacent to Toronto, and will supply parts by ground and air. Operations are scheduled to begin in October.
“Following an extensive search, we have set our sights on Mississauga as the home of our upcoming parts distribution centre,” said Marc Ouayoun, president and CEO, Porsche Cars Canada. “The convenient location will allow significant optimisation of parts transit times to Porsche centres across the nation, thereby enhancing our brand’s customer experience and providing future additional strategic and operational opportunities”.
Sales of Porsche vehicles in Canada stood at 8,900 in 2018, up 8% on the previous year, and the company said it delivered 927,247parts to the 19 Porsche service centres across the country last year.
The Mississauga PDC will have access to the major 400-series highways and is located near Toronto’s Pearson and Hamilton’s John C. Munro airports.
