Honda UK has appointed Rebecca Stead (left) as its head of network development, responsible for cars, motorcycles and power product divisions. Stead, who has been with the carmaker for 19 years, moves from her most recent role as head of the corporate affairs and events team, after spending 12 years in sales operations.
In her new role Stead will be ensuring Honda’s dealer network is ready to "face the future", according to the company, meaning collaboration with outbound and aftersales logistics will be part of her remit.
“Rebecca will ensure that all business areas are in the best shape to meet the competitive environment they operate within,” said Philip Crossman, managing director of Honda UK. “Customer preferences and trends are rapidly changing with routes to market quickly evolving. The reform of our individual franchises and quality of our representation is core to ensuring we are ready to embrace developing market conditions.”
Among the new products that Honda will be launching into its dealer network this year are two versions of the Fireblade motorcycle – the TT Fireblade and black edition Fireblade – along with the return of the Honda NSX supercar.
“I’m very much looking forward to developing and supporting the networks as Honda (UK) looks to grow its business in all sectors,” said Stead.
