US integrated logistics provider Roadrunner Transportation Systems has bought Integrated Services (ISI), an Indiana-based regional logistics provider focused on warehousing and transport services for the automotive industry. The purchase, which includes divisions ISI Logistics and ISI Logistics South, is worth $13m. The company will fit into Roadrunner’s Truckload Logistics division
“In addition to adding capability to service customers in the Midwest, ISI brings a strong reputation for quality,” said Pat McKay, president of Roadrunner Truckload Services. “ISI’s team, led by Mike Taylor, has done an excellent job building relationships with its customers through high service levels and creative solutions. We look forward to working with ISI’s team as we collectively pursue the growth opportunities available to the business.”
Integrated Services generated revenues of approximately $21m last year. Its automotive customers include DaimlerChrysler, Delphi and New Venture Gear, a division of Magna Powertrain.
Roadrunner has been on a course of buying up transport and logistics providers of late. Earlier this year it bought trucking and expedited services provider Rich Logistics.
