John Stech, who was president of Volvo Cars Russia until last month, has moved to a new role as executive vice-president of commercial operations at Volvo Cars of North America. He is now responsible for sales, customer service, the dealer network, and information technology in the US market.
“I’m truly thrilled to be joining Volvo Cars of North America at such an exciting time for the company,” said Stech. “We’ve just showcased the all-new XC90, which will hit dealerships in the spring, and it will once again revolutionise the luxury SUV segment. This is just the start of Volvo’s transformation in the U.S.
“In my new role, I’ll be overseeing all sales, dealer network, the aftersales business and also IT,” he continued. “I’m really looking forward to getting out and meeting our dealers and working with them as we prepare together for this next chapter in Volvo’s history. I know we are going to accomplish great things with the team in place here at VCNA.”
Stech was in his previous role in Russia for just more than one and a half years and responsible for the National Sales Company operation including sales, marketing, dealer network, and customer service.
Prior to that he was CEO of Chrysler Russia for more than five years.
