Logistics IT software provider Vehnet has formed a partnership with logistics provider IRCL in India to resell its transport, yard and workshop management solutions in the country.
Steve Jones, Vehnet’s managing director, commented that the software provider had long been investigating entering the Indian market, and decided it would be better to partner with a local company in the region. “We are delighted that a well-established company with the credentials of IRCIL has agreed to become our certified reseller in India,” he said.
Vehnet offers a range of IT-related software for the automotive sector, including integrated transport, yard and workshop management systems.
IRCL has more than 100 branches in India providing logistics services across a variety of industries. The company’s Aradhya Gupta (pictured) described the alliance with Vehnet as a ‘game changer’ for the automotive industry in India.
“We believe this could change industry dynamics and the way some of the biggest companies work in India – particularly, the OEMs and forward thinking logistics service providers,” he said. “Our message is that by increasing efficiency through superior technology and smarter systems, with support from qualified personnel, significant cost savings can be achieved in the long run.”
