Yusen Logistics has announced the opening of a new office at Togliatti: the latest in its efforts to expand its activity in Russia.
The transport and logistics provider will offer road and air-freight services to and from Togliatti, including final mile solutions, inland port bonded and non-bonded transit operations, and cross-docking and distribution services.
Togliatti is home to the AvtoVaz plant, one of the world’s biggest automotive plants. AvtoVaz is majority owned by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Togliatti is home to 140km of production lines and has the capacity to produce over a million cars a year. Within a 200km radius of the city there are also over 800 tier one and two suppliers.
“We are seeing major increases in demand for high quality supply chain solutions for the automotive industry and this new office at Togliatti represents the next step in our development to serve this key sector,” said Dennis Pastukhov, commercial director of Yusen Logistics Russia.
Yusen already operates at 11 locations in the country and manages 30,000 sq. m of warehousing, container sites and a fleet of trucks and container chassis.
