K Line has set up its own shipping agency in Brazil for car carrier and bulk shipping activity. Called K Line Ro-Ro & Bulk Agencia Maritima, the new company was established in May as a joint venture between K Line Brasil (K Line’s 100%-owned general agent for the car carrier business) and Capricorn Afretamentos – the owners of the former agent for K Line's Brazilian car carrier business.
The new company has undertaken all agency work for K Line’s car carrier business as well as being positioned for business expansion in Brazil as the company grows in the bulk and energy transportation sectors.
The company’s head office is in Sao Paulo, with a branch office in Rio de Janeiro. CEO Toru Otoda and Director President Lidia Maria Almeida will head the new company.
